What are Flying Stars (Xuan Kong)?
Quick answer: Flying Stars (玄空飞星) is a feng shui timing and palace framework that uses stars numbered 1 through 9. It is not your natal Four Pillars chart and not your Day Master. This site does not calculate Flying Stars. This page explains the vocabulary and the boundary, then sends you back to the BaZi tools we do run.
Not a birth chart
A BaZi chart comes from a birth date, time and place. The day stem is the Day Master. Our BaZi calculator does that, and methodology states every convention.
Flying Stars describe a year and, in the full system, a place (a period and a building's facing). Sharing the words "year" and "element" does not make the two calculations the same. There is no facing field and no nine-palace output on this page.
Stars 1 through 9
Primers number the stars from 1 to 9 and often attach a colour and an element to each number. This site has not checked those glosses against a cited classical edition, so we do not publish a star-by-star reading or a table of outcomes. The numbering is the vocabulary. It is not a forecast, and it is not advice about a house.

Why Li Chun shows up in Flying Star articles
Many English primers say the annual Flying Star count updates at Li Chun, the same solar term this site uses for the BaZi year. Sharing a calendar gate is not the same system. The rule we actually calculate is on Does the BaZi year start at Li Chun or Chinese New Year?. The 2027 instant, as a BaZi year fact, is on 2027 Fire Goat year.
What we will not ask you for
No facing direction. No floor plan. No button that generates a palace chart for any year. This wave does not add a Flying Stars engine, a month-star engine, or a subscription of year stars.

FAQ
Is Flying Star 5 always bad?
Traditional cautionary talk about that star exists. We do not prescribe renovations, and we do not rank stars on this page.
Can I read Flying Stars from my Day Master alone?
No. The Day Master is one stem in a birth chart. Flying Stars are a separate count, usually tied to a year and a place.
Do you sell a Flying Stars report?
Not in this wave. Paid PDFs on this site are BaZi readings: natal, natal with luck pillars, compatibility, and the 2027 annual forecast. Prices are on pricing. They are one-time. There is no subscription.
Where is the BaZi year content?
2027 Fire Goat year states when that BaZi year begins. It is not a flying-star map.
